Paul Frank + Collins represents local, regional and national financial institutions and trust companies in connection with commercial lending transactions, credit facilities, and internal legal matters. We also represent borrowers and other customers of financial institutions in their dealings with financial institutions.

We advise and assist clients in a diverse array of financial transactions, including:

  • Business financing and refinancing
  • Leveraged acquisitions
  • Asset based lending
  • Intangibles lending
  • Mortgage lending
  • Bond financing
  • Participation financing
  • Cross-border financing, including arrangements involving guarantees by U.S. companies of financing provided to their Canadian affiliates
  • Work-outs and loan restructuring
  • Creation, perfection, and enforcement of security interests in real and personal property

We work on finance law matters encompassing a broad range of complexity from simple lines of credit to complicated arrangements involving multiple loans, multiple lenders, and varied types of collateral.

In the area of fiduciary services, we advise banks and other fiduciaries on their rights and obligations as fiduciaries, tax matters, document interpretation, and litigation. We also prepare standard trusts, common trust fund documents and all commercial finance law-related agreements.

Paul Frank + Collins also has experience with matters primarily or uniquely affecting financial institutions, such as letters of credit, deposits and collections, interest rate swaps and ISDA schedules, consumer protection laws, and electronic fund transfers.
