PF+C Employees Raised over $19,000 for the United Way
December, 2010 - Paul Frank + Collins' United Way Campaign raised over $19,000 with 95% employee participation this year during its United Way of Chittenden County annual Community Campaign. The firm-wide fundraising effort raised awareness among lawyers, staff and paralegals about the United Way and its 60 programs and 30 member agencies. This year's theme was "Give Where you Live" and enthusiasm for charitable giving was fostered by fun events held at the office. The firm's three managing partners competed in an Executive Chair Race where employees placed charitable bets on whether President Crocker Bennett would out-race the Vice-Presidents, John Draper or Bob DiPalma. (Mr. DiPalma won). Other events included a golf putting challenge that took place in the firm’s office hallways amid cheering crowds of employees.
The firm's campaign was led by its office manager, Cindy Goodrich who had help from a committee of more than 10 employees. Ms. Goodrich won the 2010 United Way Keyperson of the Year Award for leading the firm's innovative and popular charitable campaign. She commented, "We are so pleased that our employees have yet again surpassed our fundraising goals even in this uncertain economy. To have 95% of our employees pledge to the United Way is extraordinary and demonstrates their commitment to our community and understanding of what it takes to help others in real need." Firm President, Crocker Bennett added, "The firm and I are very proud of what our employees have done for the United Way again this year."
While employee pledges to the United Way comprised the largest portion of the total donation, the annual silent auction event was a great success that generated over $1,500 on its own. PF+C gratefully acknowledges the following businesses for their donations to our United Way Silent Auction:
