John T. Sartore is the senior trial lawyer at Paul Frank + Collins, representing clients involving a wide range of subjects including: products liability, medical, legal and architectural malpractice, securities fraud, antitrust, bank fraud, bank robbery and conspiracy. On two occasions Mr. Sartore was the lead trial counsel in cases in which his clients won the largest verdict in Vermont history to that time. Mr. Sartore is a Fellow and past Vermont State Chair of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for Vermont Business and Personal Injury Litigation since the reference first appeared in 1982. Commercial: Currently representing Korean turbine manufacturer and Quebec distributor as plaintiff in product disparagment suit in federal court in Illinois. Represented aircraft salvage company as plaintiff seeking to repair and resell former DHL A300 Airbus hit by terrorist missile over Baghdad, Iraq in 2003. Represented motorcycle dealership as defendant in Colorado state court in suit alleging breach of contract and fraud. Medical Malpractice: Defended cases in the disciplines of neonatology, obstetrics, thoracic surgery and psychiatry. Premises Liability: Represented game preserve in accidental shooting that resulted in death of hunter guest. Products Liability: Currently representing major tire manufacturer in wrongful death action arising from alleged tire failure. Represented plaintiff homeowners injured in a fire caused by a defective LPG (liquid propane gas) cylinder. Toxic Torts: Currently representing major tire manufacturer in suit alleging plaintiff developed cancer due to exposure to environmental pollution from manufacturing facility. White Collar Crime: Defended corporation on federal charges of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and to violate the Clean Air Act. Counseled corporation under investigation for alleged conspiracy to commit U.S. Customs fraud. Defended scientist charged with submitting falsified data to U.S. EPA.
