Immigration Law

The Paul Frank + Collins Immigration Practice Group provides a full range of professional legal services to employers and individuals. Because U.S. immigration is a federal practice area, we counsel clients located throughout the United States and in foreign countries. When advising a U.S. company wishing to employ foreign nationals, we develop an immigration strategy to obtain the most appropriate nonimmigrant (temporary) or immigrant (permanent) status for each employee.
Immigration law issues rarely arise in a vacuum, especially for companies based abroad seeking to establish or expand a footprint in the U.S. marketplace. Such enterprises normally face multiple legal questions simultaneously, including incorporation, real estate, employment, taxation and financing. PF+C’s multidisciplinary teams possess the skills required to keep several balls in the air at once. We work closely with our clients' human resources professionals to maximize efficiency and to assist them in attracting and retaining qualified foreign nationals.
PF+C has extensive experience in advising Canadian companies on a wide range of U.S. legal issues. Thus, we offer specialized counsel to address the specific immigration and employment needs of Canadian firms establishing a U.S. presence.
U.S. immigration classifications read like the ingredients of alphabet soup. Consequently, U.S. law firms rarely resist the temptation to include a seemingly endless list of visa types on their web sites. At PF+C, we take the road less traveled. First, our Immigration Law Team gains an understanding of your business objectives. Only then do we formulate practical immigration strategies.
Our Immigration Practice Group includes an experienced support staff. We draw upon multiple immigration resources and personal contacts. Software technology streamlines the preparation of government forms, and permits us to focus our energies on strategic planning and counseling the employer.
