Stephen D. Ellis Director
Stephen Ellis is a member of the Litigation and Employment + Labor teams at Paul Frank + Collins. Prior to joining PFC, Steve was a senior partner and co-founder of another prominent Vermont law firm, where he practiced for over twenty years. He is a seasoned trial lawyer, appellate advocate, arbitrator and mediator with over thirty years of experience representing private and municipal clients before state and federal courts, as well as state and federal administrative agencies and tribunals, in Vermont, New York and multiple other jurisdictions. He has successfully tried dozens of jury trials to verdict, briefed and argued dozens of appeals, and litigated over a hundred matters to final adjudication or settlement. His practice focuses on complex civil litigation, negotiated settlements and alternative dispute resolution, and general legal and strategic counseling, guidance and problem-solving, in the areas of professional liability, intellectual property, labor and employment law, business and commercial transactions and disputes, corporate governance, shareholder agreements and disputes, contracts, workers’ compensation, and insurance law.
