VCIA 2019 Annual Conference

PF+C directors, Peter McDougall, Kerin Stackpole and Benjamin Gould, will speak at the upcoming Vermont Captive Insurance Association (“VCIA”) Annual Conference during the week of August 5th.

McDougall will be speaking the afternoon of Monday, August 5 during a new component of the VCIA Conference titled Captive Immersion. The session is intended to give newcomers an overview of the various aspects of forming and operating a captive insurance company in Vermont.

Stackpole will co-facilitate a Young Professionals Forum on August 8 at 10 AM. She will help lead small group discussions about sharpening speaking skills, how to approach your career in its early years, and creating work/life balance. A large group discussion, topics ranging from transitioning into the workforce, professionalism and meeting work demands, will follow.

Gould will be moderating a session entitled “Building Your Ideal Captive Board” at 10:15 AM on August 6 in the Livak Ballroom at the University of Vermont Davis Center. He will also present a report as chairperson of the VCIA Legislative Committee at the annual VCIA members’ meeting on August 7 at 8:30 AM in the Emerald III Ballroom at the Doubletree Hotel.

A number of other members of the captive insurance and insurance services teams at PF+C will be attending the conference and participating in various sessions and events

VCIA, established in 1985, is the largest trade association for captive insurance in the world. The association provides members with legislative leadership, education, opportunities for information-sharing and a network of mutual support with others who share objectives in order to ensure an environment favorable to the continued growth and health of the captive industry and the Vermont captive community.
