Catharine Chamberlin Foutz Senior Paralegal
Catharine Foutz supports the litigation team on complex insurance coverage and litigation cases for both plaintiffs and defendants. Her responsibilities are as varied and broad as tracking and analyzing ongoing cases in a toxic tort matter in Louisiana; preparing statements of fact and back-up documentation in environmental disputes; maintaining and researching in a decades-old asbestos database; obtaining obscure opinions and expert information from around the country; performing jury verdict research; assessing and summarizing facts in coverage actions; general trial preparation; and assisting individual clients in insurance-related claims.
Cathy’s paralegal career began in Washington, D.C. at the firm of Kirkland & Ellis, where she focused on Federal agency and Congressional proceedings. She later relocated to Boston, MA before returning to Vermont in 1986 with her growing family. She has since served as a litigation paralegal in other firms before joining the PF+C team in 2010.
